In May 2010 Eat Smart, Move More York County, The City of Rock Hill and the Rock Hill Bike Club launched a safety and awareness campaign called Bike Rock Hill.
After addressing the crowd on the importance of living an active life style, Mayor Doug Echols led a family friendly ride to kick off the event with over 75 riders of all ages and skill levels in attendance.
The campaign also included several bike safety rodeos, a commuter clinic, bikeability surveys and public service
announcements on the rules of the road for both motorists and cyclists.
